Home and small business owners trying to establish or expand their businesses on the Internet often face the daunting task of generating leads from their target markets. Why attempt to use Internet marketing then? Simply due to the shear volume of prospects and potential leads that use the "Web" each and everyday to help solve their problems.
Although there are hundreds of millions of daily Internet users, accessing quality leads in your target market is not a trivial task. Success is typically attained using a combination of free methods such as posting valuable content with solution-oriented information via blogs, lenses, or articles; forum/social network site postings; traffic exchange advertising or posting classified ads while often using paid methods such as pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. Recently, I encountered another web portal touted to be a free lead acquisition and generation website with an orange flavored-name that may be another key prospecting tool.
Once I found the site and watched the short introduction video, I completed the registration steps by providing my basic personal data (name, address, email, telephone number) and accessed the site. My first impression was that the home page would not win any website design awards in the near future. At first glance it appears overly busy and a tad confusing. Scanning the page for several minutes allowed me to learn the layout and it quickly became easier to locate all of the key resources. After working the referral tools for the site for a few weeks, I concluded that anyone trying to build their business via the Internet should consider using this citrus-named site as part of their lead generation efforts.
Why should you bother to check out the orange-flavored leads site?
Beyond the fact that access to the site and many of its resources is free, there are several ways to identify and access leads:
- The "Unused Leads" database where you can obtain detailed contact one lead at a time every two minutes;
- Your upline genealogy list that includes basic contact information for your sponsor and several other uplines (15 total);
- You downline database with basic contact information for the members referred by you;
- Advertisements you post that are displayed to all site members and your downline; and
- Access to a related social networking site.
At the beginning of December 2008 there were over 420,000 contacts in the "Unused Leads" database which were all reported to be business opportunity seekers or business builders. Additionally, my personal advertising efforts enabled me to create a downline group through several levels of nearly 200 business building entrepreneurs.
Once registered with the site, they owners provide several tools to generate your own referrals including an affiliate URL link and HTML codes for affiliate-coded pages and banners. This empowers you to create your own downline referrals where you know the target market and in many instances, they are skewed with business builders.
This "citrus-flavored" leads site just may turn out to be a great Internet marketing asset to add to your business building toolbox.
