A Brief Introduction to Vision Boards and Gratitude Boards

What are Vision and Gratitude Boards?

Vision boards and Gratitude boards are two inherently linked tools that are an essential component in the practice of the Law of Attraction. While both come in many formats (i.e. poster board, cork board, Microsoft Excel workbook), the underlying purpose is the same: to create a visual representation of what you are thankful for (gratitude) and what you wish to being into your life via the Law of Attraction (attraction). Users of gratitude boards concentrate on each image on the board and through a series of internal representations, produce external gratitude for these items and, in doing so, create a resonance that is of the frequency which will bring more or such items into their lives. Feelings that are conjured up for the images on the gratitude board are then translated to items on the vision board to parlay the frequency to those things which are not yet in the users life. Consequently, when items on the vision board are brought into the users life, the item is moved to the gratitude board to continue resonating thankfulness of that item.

How have these tools evolved?

Vision boards have been around for sometime and it is not since the recent popularization of the Law of Attraction that the counterpart, Gratitude boards, have come to the forefront as well. However, these tools have been used by those in serious practice of the Law for years. Early Vision boards were rudimentary cork boards or bulletin boards and were essentially the equivalent of a child hanging a picture of a new bicycle on his wall. For adults, these boards were hung in a commonly frequented place such as a den or sitting room. Which the advancement of computer technology, so to has these tools evolved. Today the format of choice is a computer spreadsheet workbook, modified to showcase all the necessary media of these two boards. First, the use of digital technology allows the boards to be visible in many environments (i.e. easy access at work, portable access on laptops/smart phones, and highly visible on home computers). Second, with the abundance of images Online, the ease of copying and pasting images of what users want is greater than ever.

Why are these tools essential?

The Law of Attraction is very simple in its true essence, yet can be very difficult to master. Using gratitude and attraction boards has been shown to provide an easy and effective (and fun!) means of harnessing your own energy and feelings and getting clear about what it is that you want. These boards are a way of grounding our hundreds of thousands of thought we have daily and streamlining them to the right thing, in the right way, at the right time. These boards can be likened to a dial on a radio, or a channel on a TV; if you cannot fix your energy and focus on specific things and lock it in for a sustainable period, there is no use in trying to work with the Law.
